It’s Spring Cleaning time. A time when people tend to focus on ridding their home of dust and allergens that has collected over the winter. There’s one piece of furniture you shouldn’t ever forget: The Bed. Here are a few suggestions to freshen it up.

First things first, do the laundry often. Try and develop a habit of cleaning the sheets at least once a week; such as a day off or during the weekend.

While the sheets are being washed, freshen up your mattress. Simply pour a small layer of baking soda on your mattress and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, grab your vacuum cleaner and vacuum it all up, paying special attention to the sides of your mattress.

Another great suggestion: take your mattress outside. The sunlight will dry your mattress out and kill any mold that’s accumulated.

By cleaning your mattress on a regular basis, you’ll preserve the life of it – and it’ll serve you well for many years to come.
